Slumlove is a fashion company. Our business is to design and make clothing, and then sell that clothing in order to continue growing our company. We know this is how business works, and we love getting to provide great products to our customers.

But the start of Slumlove was so much more than that. It began as a vision for helping the community of Kibera. To provide employment for a single mother who knitted sweaters, and to continue giving back to a school in the slum.

This is the heart of Slumlove. Even though we are a business, our mission is to love the community of Kibera, one of the largest slums in the world. This is where Slumlove began, and it's where we will always come back to. It's what Slumlove is all about.

That's why we love getting to share this wonderful place with our friends and family. Every summer, we bring a group over to Kenya to volunteer in Kibera and visit with the women who make Slumlove happen. We just returned from our most recent trip, and we are still daydreaming about all of the incredible things we experienced.
